Common questions
Why didn't my free space go up straight away?
Photos keeps removed items in Recently Deleted for 30 days. Open Photos › Albums › Recently Deleted and delete them to get the space back now.
Can Headroom clean up automatically?
No app can. iOS always asks you before photos are removed, which keeps you in control. Auto-check (Settings) can remind you when there's space to review.
Can Headroom clear other apps' caches or RAM?
No. iOS keeps every app's data private and manages memory itself. Headroom focuses on your photos, videos and the folders you choose.
I use iCloud Photos. What happens?
Removing a photo removes it from all your devices that use iCloud Photos. Optimized copies sync like any other photo.
What does Optimize do?
It saves a smaller copy of a video or photo, with the same date, place, favorite and albums, then moves the original to Recently Deleted. HDR, Cinematic, Slo-mo, RAW and Portrait items are left as they are.
How do I restore or cancel my subscription?
To restore: open Headroom › Settings › Restore Purchases. To cancel: open iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Headroom Pro.
Does anything leave my iPhone?
No. Photos, files and all analysis stay on your iPhone. See the Privacy Policy.
