Registration is by invitation. An employer creates worker accounts; workers join a company using a code their employer gives them.

Here is exactly who sees it.

Your employer decides what is collected and why. They are the data controller. If you want your records corrected or explained, they are the people who can do it.

Managers see their own team; whoever runs payroll sees pay figures.

Not shared with other employers, never sold, never used for advertising.

Hosted on Google Firebase, with the data stored in Google's Singapore region.

Disclosed to anyone else only where the law requires — a court order, or a request from the Labour Department under the Employment Act.

Location is read only at the moment you clock in or clock out. There is no background tracking.

What it does

From the gate to the payslip

Clock in with evidence

A photo taken at the gate, stamped in the pixels with the worker's name, the time to the second, the site, and how accurate the GPS fix was. It survives being exported, shared or pulled out of storage months later — which is exactly when a disputed shift gets looked at.

Works with no signal

A yard with no bars used to mean no clock-in. The shift is written to the phone before anything touches the network, and uploaded when a connection comes back. The worker sees what is still waiting to go up.

Payroll against the Employment Act

Overtime multipliers, rest-day and holiday rates, leave entitlement by employee type, the minimum wage floor, and statutory contributions — worked out from the hours actually clocked, with the figures behind every total on the payslip.

Leave, claims and advances

Requested on the phone, decided by a manager, and carried into the month's pay. Claim kinds carry their own limits and can be granted per employee type, or to one person.

In the language they read

English, Malay, Bengali, Burmese and Chinese — the whole app, including the payslip. A worker should not have to take somebody's word for what they were paid.

Costs a worker nothing

There is no in-app purchase and no subscription for a worker to buy. Whatever the employer pays is agreed separately with them, outside the App Store.

Before you rely on it

SiteClock calculates pay from the rates you configure. It does not discharge an employer's obligations under the Employment Act 1955 or any other law, and the figures should be checked. The Terms say so at greater length, and mean it.

Frequently asked

Who can see my clock-ins, my photo and my location?

Your managers and your employer's payroll staff — managers see their own team, and whoever runs payroll sees the pay figures. Nobody else: it is not shared with other employers, never sold, and not used for advertising. Google Firebase hosts it, in Google's Singapore region. Anyone else only where the law requires it, such as a court order or a Labour Department request.

Is my location tracked all day?

No. Location is read only at the moment you clock in or clock out. The app does not track your movements at any other time, and does not run location in the background.

What happens if there is no signal at the site?

The clock-in is stored on the phone and uploaded when a connection returns, so a yard with no bars is still a yard where people can clock in. That is a design decision, not a guarantee — a phone that is lost or wiped before it reconnects loses whatever it was holding.

Does using SiteClock make our payroll legally compliant?

No. It is a tool, not an adviser. EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, overtime, leave entitlement and the minimum wage check are calculated from the rates and rules the employer configures and the data its workers record. We do not warrant that any figure is correct for your circumstances, and using SiteClock does not discharge the employer's obligations under the Employment Act 1955, the EPF Act 1991, the Employees' Social Security Act 1969, the Income Tax Act 1967, minimum wage orders, or any other law. If an amount matters, check it.

What does the app cost a worker?

Nothing, ever. There is no in-app purchase and no subscription for a worker to buy. Whatever the employer pays is agreed separately with them, outside the App Store.

How long are my records kept?

Clock-in photographs are deleted automatically after a period your employer sets, 30 days by default. Attendance, leave and claim records and payslips are kept for six years — not our choice, but section 61 of the Employment Act 1955, which requires an employer to keep a wage register for that long.

Can I delete my own data?

You can close your account from Profile in the app, which removes your login and clears your contact details. It does not delete your pay records, because your employer is legally required to keep them for six years. The app tells you that before you confirm, rather than after.
